Ive got a working SIM, T-Mobile PAYG, which I'd rather not change. It
functions perfectly in my 8310. Putting the SIM in either my 6210 or 7110 gives the message "Insert SIM card" on *either* phone - theres no message about the phone being locked to a particular network, it just says theres no SIM there. I know for sure the 6210 is unlocked - not convinced about the 7110 yet though. Any ideas gratefully received. Oh, I also have a DLR-3 cable, if that could help! |

The *only* reason Im replying here is who knows, there may be another halfwit comes along in a few months and googles for the same problem, whos done exactly the same thing as I did and not slid the tiny metal cover over the SIM card before putting the battery cover back on top! Yep, it was that simple - my 8310 has a little plastic cradle that the SIM sits inand Ive never had one of these older phones with the metal slide. I pushed it back, and all is working properly |
