Default Help unlock the phone book (6230)

My friend has accidently set a password for my phone book. He doesn't
remember the password at all. The phone is working fine but it is
asking for the password when accessing the phone book. Can anyone help
me remove the password, please.

Try a factory reset, you will find it in the settings menu.

Don't quote me on this, but I don't think so - it didn't delete mine,
anyway (v3.15 firmware).

It shouldn't because it is supposed to reset the settings to factory
defaults rather than memory. I suppose if you can't access the phone
book it is next to useless anyway.
