Hi, I have purchased a second hand Nokia 6600 from ebay.

I have tried a number of sims, being but it is only coming up "SIM CARD
REGISTRATION FAILED"

What does this mean?

I can use all the phones features but it will not connect of get a signal.

Either locked to one particular network, or the IMEI is registered as lost /
stolen phone. What country are you in? Some countries (most?) don't bother
with a stolen IMEI list, in which case it must be locked.

could be you are putting in the wrong Net work SIM, what network is
the phone on and what network is the SIM you are using ?

It's blacklisted.

The original owner of the phone has reported it stolen or lost, and the
phone's IMEI is on the IMEI blacklist.

Blacklisted more like, the simlock wouldn't give that error.

strange .... cos mine gives that error when i put in the wrong sim card
....... mine aint blacklisted
