Globalstar & Thuraya have limited coverage about the same as GSM mobiles,
Iridium & Inmarsat work worldwide. So it depends where you are going. All
the phone system have their websites. www.iridium.com, www.thuraya.com,
www.globalstar.com www.inmarsat.com.
All satellite phones calls are expensive, at least US$1.50 per minute you
have to have a clear view of the sky to use the phone that means no trees
overhead and not indoors unless you carry an external antenna!
You will find that buying a local GSM Sim is going to be cheaper and easier
to use!
