I know T Mobile don't give cashbacks, that's the problem!

But seriously, some schemes are run by the service providers and some are
run by the retailers. T Mobile may not be running any at present but the
scheme I referred to was T Mobile's, not the retailer's. T Mobile should
have been able to structure the scheme to reduce its VAT payment to Customs
and Excise; it is unlikely that the retailer would have been able to do so
for a scheme of this type, making it very inefficient from the tax
standpoint.
