Hi. . .
I want to upgrade my existing cell (T230i) , but am confused as whether I should go for K750i or w800. I have read that if we have a good handsfree like HPM-70, there is little difference in the mp3 quality between the two. . is it true ? Because thats the only difference . . as they have the same 2 MP camera .. . please advice Gautam |

If you're going to use the phone for mainly mp3 use, then w800i. If you use wap more, or don't like the colour orange, then the k750i. |

Ya ,
thanks for that but what i wana know specifically is that is there a real difference in the MP3 playing capability between the two, or is it just the headphones of w800 which make the difference ? If you really want to use it as a music device, forgetthe K750i. While the sound quality is quite comparable, the user interface isn't. You might take a look at the WALKMAN player application of the W800i and the common Media Player from the K750i. Between these are AGES! C U Sushii BTW: If you go for the W810i you get the great Walkman player, a decent black design and the usefull activity menu from the K750i, which is replaced with the Walkman Player on the W800i. -- Alle Informationen wurden besten Wissens und Gewissens von mir selbst verfasst, es sei denn, sie sind als Zitat gekennzeichnet. @y43g2000cwc.googlegroups.com: > but what i wana know specifically is that is there a real difference in > the MP3 playing capability between the two, or is it just the > headphones of w800 which make the difference ? Looking at the hardware, the K750i and W800i are identical twins. The W800i comes with better headphones and a bigger MemoryStick (512Mb compared to 64Mb) as mentioned by others. Apart from looks, the only real difference lay in the software: The W800i has Walkman functions i.e. it can play music without turning on the phone part and the MP3 player is much better than that of the K750i. My advice: By the one whos looks you like best. If its the K750i, buy a bigger MemoryStick (512Mb isn't much anyway - go for 1Gb or more), better headphones and change the software to W800i. Or get the W800i and if you like the look of the K750i.... change the cover. |

Yes, the hardware is the same, except for the covers. the difference is in the firmware, and the W800 has a much more advanced MP3 player, with play lists, sorting functions, etc. It is also possible to upgrade a K750i with the W800i firmware. -- /Dan __________________________________________ d a n (dot) a l t e m y r (at) t e l i a (dot) c o m |
