The SDK's are available through forum nokia.

IIRC the infra red is not accessible from java.

BS... not for the 6310i (yet!!!) They do have development tools, but
absolutely no documentation on the 6310i hardware and the cool core-stuff


and... Java can access anything, if you know the registers on your
hardware.. hence you'd have to hack into it... couse Nokia is NOT
DOCUMENTING that feature.. and I still think that in general they don't want
to reveal that info.. just think: If I could program 10 brands of remote
control on my cell... I'd drive some TV stores mad and that I can relate
to.. but that makes me sad, cause I have no info whatsover.. yet.. on how to
address IR and do some cool stuff with it

Currently some frioends of mine are working on some probing-projects, so
maybe in time there will be a java app that will RC our media centres.
