Hi,
The post is less to the spammer. I would take it generally that given the
approach and nature of their message you can by and large forget about
communicating with them (and the probably wouldn't be wise, etc.).
However, the idea of this message is to engage the thoughts of other users
of this newsgroup rather than (or in addition to) the spammer.

P.s. The later is probably a fair point, but generally an amount or level of
intelligent consideration can be applied to the initial information and in
this case appears potential valid, genuine, etc.
P.p.s. As for cluttering - it shouldn't do that or impact anyone. One of the
whole ideas and principles of newsgroups is threading - don't like the
subject or thread? - leave it closed! No clutter, no intrusion, etc. Hope
