Default Roaming on sprint with verizon service

A lot of discussion on older posts that most roaming calls to sprint
towers from verizon service is without further charge--is this just
true with AR plans, or might it also be true with local digital also?

Local Digital Choice Plans roam for free within your Home Area. You
can use anybody's network that Verizon has a roaming agreement with
free of charge to you but only within your Home Calling Area.
America's Choice Plans do offer free roaming on Sprint in some areas,
but not everywhere.

That can especially be true with small wireless companies "Doing
Business As" Sprint PCS. AT&T Wireless also has similar affiliates,
Nextel has Nextel Partners and partner network Extend America, and yes,
even Verizon has affiliates. I'm also willing to bet that T-Mobile,
Cingular, US Cellular and others also have "affiliates".

With regards to roaming in a local digital choice area, I know for a
fact that in South Dakota, while on the local digital choice, you can
roam on Western Wireless Cellular One [west] for roaming rates.

It all varies from market to market.
