Default External Antennae

Hello,

I often drive into rural areas with limited to no coverage. What is the
best external antennae I could buy to boost my signal?

Thank you,
Bud Stein

It's not one size fits all. You need to supply some details such as
what manufacture and model phone you have.

Hello Joe,

The device is a Kyocera 2135. It is an older model.

Thank you,
Bud

Actually....

Get a Wilson antenna, the higher DB gain the better. Be sure it has a BNC
connection on the end. With that, you can buy the "pigtail" that will adapt
it to your phone. Viola! Now all you have to do is replace the $5.99 pigtail
instead of the $50 Wilson every time you buy a new phone.

You can believe me or not, but I wholesale these, who you gonna listen to?

I was dissappointed with the biuild quality of the Wilson dualband.
The magnet is covered with a piece of vinyl tape, that scratches off
easily. Nothing like the nice rubber cup base of older spring type,
colinear magmounts. The ball on the end fell off, even before I has a
chance to "beat" it in the car, while travelling. It works well
though, and the wiring and connections are solid.

Cellantenna.com has an interesting antenna. It comes with one base and
three different length masts. Buy the one base and use it for
different gain masts, depending on terrain. Haven't checked out the
base constuction.
