Hi,
This month my ATTWS bill showed 1054 minutes of usage. I never go over my limit of 350 minutes per month so I was really surprised. I had a long talk with my kids about using my cell phone and they swear they didn't make all these calls. I had them check off the calls they made; I checked off the calls I made. What's left are dozens of calls to phone numbers I don't recognize and my kids claim they don't recognize them either. I called one of the numbers and got an answering machine and the person is someone I don't know and my kids claim they don't know him either. I'm not sure whether to believe my kids or if it's possible for a digital phone to be cloned or for someone to make calls and have it charged to my number. Is there a possibility that calls were made by someone else on another phone and charged to my number? Is ATTWS known to screw up phone bills in this manner? Or should I make my kids cough up the extra $60 charged to my phone? CD |

They offered me a free phone to switch to GSM and I told them I'll wait a few years until their GSM coverage is as good as their TDMA. So they make mistakes for their GSM customers but not their TDMA customers? Isn't it the same billing department? CD |

Isn't it the same billing department? NO not at all i made the switch like a fool. I had a credit on my TDMA service NEVER got it forwarded to my GSM took them 7 months of me calling to get it done. they offered me free minute in place of the credit. My wife had a balance on her TDMA service she was unaware of. They sent it to a collection agentcy instead sending a bill. However her GSM service was never affected. Since moving to the GSM service there has been a mistake while mostly minor mistake on my bill and my wife alomst every month. My wifes contract was up 6 months ago she went to sprint. Their billing system is about as bad as att GSM billing system. -- Must fight it must , i must fight my A.D.D , what was i talking about oh never mind oooo what that over there |

No Cranky, it's a different billing system.
Have you located the 600 minutes that put you over? That's 10 hours, and should be easy to find on your bill. When my kid or lady friend lose their phone, I immediately call to suspend the account or move their service to a Nokia 5165 I keep just for that purpose. No cell account of mine will be in the hands of someone I don't know. I did that immediately. Sorry to say about 90% of the calls came up unknown or with no listing. I picked two of the out of state numbers, one in Virginia and one in Illinois, and called both of them to see who it was. One of the people knew one of my kids and confirmed that was who made the call. The other person doesn't know anyone in my family or anyone in my city and assured me the listing on the bill had to be a mistake. CD |
