Hi
I understand it is possible to change the settings on the Motorola A920 to access the internet rather than just the few pages of content that Three publish. I assume this is done my setting up a new "Internet Account" on the phone. As default there is just one internet account set up with the following settings: - Services - 3services - IP - automatic - Primary DNS - automatic - Secondary DNS - automatic However, if you choose to set up a new internet account there are options for: - Connection Type (Either GPRS or Dial Up) - User Name - Password - address - IP Address - DNS - Proxy server I assume that by stating a GPRS connection type it is possible to connect to the Internet via any ISP? ALthough I am unsure what Address is required for this type of connection - any ideas - or a sample of what format this should be? Thanks, Peter |

Type in 3netaccess as the server name. Save the settings. You then need to select disconect from the browser. When you type a URL in, it will ask what account to connect with. Just select your newly created internet account. Good Luck |

Just a note to say thanks for your help with the Motorola a920
question. The only problem I'm having is when I disconnect from the Three network, rather than being prompted to select which service, I'm getting a could not locate remote server error rather than a menu to select which service I require. If you have any suggestions on this I'd be grateful, but in the mean time, thanks for your help. |
