Default A830 Modem + MacOS X

Anybody been successful in using it to connect, either using Bluetooth or
USB Cable?

Connection log always shows 'LCP terminated by peer' and then a dozen or so
^ control signals.

sw

I believe it's not supported - the A830 uses a custom OS which iSync
doesn't yet support.

Check out http://www.apple.com/isync/ for details of supported
handsets.

I believe the Motorola A920 will be supported (as it uses the Symbian
OS - which currently has limited support in iSync - Apple says further
support is "coming soon"). The Sony Ericsson Z1010 also will have
support when it is launched - the blurb from the Z1010 website at
http://www.sonyericsson.com/3gsmworldcongress/ implies that the Mac
will be supported.

This, btw, is the main reason I'm waiting to get a new phone - I'd
have bought the NEC e606 if it had iSync and decent bluetooth support.

And of course, after reading your post properly, I see that you were
only talking about the modem *smacks head*.

I'll bring my iBook into the new 3 store in Brisbane and see if they
can give me a demo.

Have you tried using some different drivers?

Check out:
http://www.taniwha.org.uk/ - the Motorola GPRS drivers are probably
your best shot

If that doesn't help, the maccellphone yahoo group at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/maccellphone/ may be able to help

Let us (or me) know if it works

Thanks
Isaac
