Carphone Warehouse have now confirmed the UK launch date of the iPhone
as the 9th of November. Its already all over their site:

Contracts are not too unreasonable either, starting from £35 - I was
expecting that you wouldn't be able to get one for less than £50.
Seems its only on O2 but will be available through Carphone
Warehouse's shops and online.
