Hi - I have a new handset via Vodafone and I have a curious problem with the
Maps. It's to do with the colours, the sea isn't shown in blue - it's the same colour as the land mass. You might think that this is a trivial problem, but I live on an island with poor lighting and could do with the better definition. I wondered if anyone else has come across this problem and, if so, how did the get round it? I tried deleting the maps and reinstalling them vis Nokia Map Loader, no joy. Fingers crossed, Colin |

I have also noticed this if you zoom out on the coast it the sea goes blue
after a few clicks but when you zoom back in it goes light green again ODD Alan "Grumpy 1015" <smith1015@btinternet.com> wrote in message news vudnf7Cc7Jc7zHanZ2dnUVZ8rCdnZ2d@bt.com...> Hi - I have a new handset via Vodafone and I have a curious problem with > the Maps. Further to this - my last phone was the N95 and the maps were fine on this.
Seems to suggest some sort of software conflict with the 8GB model? I am currently waiting to hear from Nokia Customer services about this. Colin. PS ~ I'm glad it's not just me! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Grumpy 1015" <smith1015@btinternet.com> wrote in message news vudnf7Cc7Jc7zHanZ2dnUVZ8rCdnZ2d@bt.com...> Hi - I have a new handset via Vodafone and I have a curious problem with > the Maps. Eureka!!!
Problem solved. I went to settings and allowed access to network (even though I didn't want it or need it). Lo and behold, the sea and other bodies of water went back to blue. I have since disabled network access but the sea has remained blue. Guess I know what to do if it happens again... LOL I just came here to say the same thing
did you set your defaultaccess point to your wi-fi looks like checking out anywhere you are going @ home first connected to the wi-fi is a good idea, That post code I said about earlier (bn15 9dp) also now works ok and is found Much happier now Alan "Grumpy 1015" <smith1015@btinternet.com> wrote in message news:J4SdnVJBSIg1py3a4p2dnAA@bt.com... > Eureka!!! > Problem solved.
