Default Query: how to transfer Orange Contract to third party.

I know I could contact Orange CS a few times to see if I ever got the same
answer more than once but would someone be good enough to set out the
detail of the current procedure for transferring a contract from one
person to another?

I have two OVP-VM numbers on the same account and wish to transfer each of
them separately to third parties. Assume that transferees will pass credit
checks.

Thanks for any pointers.

Just done pretty well exactly that here, BUT mine is a business a/c, so
assume (ass-u-me) it would be the same for a private a/c (?)
We had four OVP-VM and one OVP-Select500

Transferred 2 x VM and 1 x S500 to my new business and 2 x VM to my
brother's new business

All went 'seamlessly'.

One piece of advice given by a very helpful guy in OCS was to NOT set up the
DD on the new a/c till the transfer had happened, otherwise there was a
chance that the old a/c would be charged to he new a/c

Thanks for that - but what was the process? Ring OCS with full details of
third party or call to initiate the transfer and get some sort of
reference number so that third party could provide personal details or
what?

Hmm ............ don't remember really, because I was transferring to myself
(so to speak)!

What I think happened ....
Rang to say I was transferring OUT and gave *names* of new recipients.
Then the new recipients ring up to 'register' and give their own details.

IIRC and all that ;-)

I've only ever done it with PAYG but it was easy - rang OCS with the other
party present, I told them I wanted to transfer the account and then
passed the phone to the other person to confirm their details. Done and
dusted in 5 minutes tops.
